male and female plugs on my chrt5 do not match.Avenger 2013

The immobilizer and ignition harness plugs. i  have an avenger 2013 sxt. trying to instal an EVO all stand alone plug and play. did i miss something or did i get the wrong T harness?

Update: took of the radio and found the transponder connector, still couldn’t reach it comfortably and didn’t want to stress it as you stated its sensitivity to breaking. so i sawed off a small section of plastic from the driver side bottom panel(where the trim clips into, away from the clip openings of course) and was able to reach it and instal properly with no problem. the only other way to me seemed like i needed to remove the entire trim of the dash to get access to the second screw so i can remove the transponder, i checked and found that to be a very daunting task, so i chose to remove the plastic since its covered by trim anyhow. just incase anyone else is trying to instal on a 2013 SXT. Thank you for your help again guys.

You are looking for the transponder connector, and not the main ignition harness. The connector is closer to the front of the ignition barrel. If your key hole is in the and not on the steering column, the connector would be place between the barrel and the radio. Careful when disconnecting it, pulling to hard or side-ways will damage the factory transponder ring connection on the board of the skim module.

If I remember correctly on the avenger, the transponder connector is easier to access by the radio opening. Remove the radio and look on the left you will see it.
thank you i thought i missed something, i will attempt again in a couple days.
i now have a new problem, when the car is remote started everything is perfect i can unlock and put the key to on and drive. when i try to start the car in a regular manner, just the key it will start for a couple of seconds and then cut off, and the red security light is flashing on the dash. any ideas?
Uh oh.

1. Replug the original harness back in it's spot, see if the problem persists.

2. Check fuses.

3. Please read this post if you cannot start the car with oem remote once the original harness is reconnected. http://fortin.ca/en/qa/16063/why-am-i-not-able-to-start-jk-with-the-key-after-install-of-evo-all?show=16063#q16063
alright thank you for the info, i will take it into the shop in the next couple of day and remove everything properly. in the mean time is there any harm or danger of the car shutting off suddenly if i continue to use the remote start and drive it?
