Starter has worked prefect for 2 years-suddenly Tail light /marker lights will not turn off; Remote start not working

if there's an issue with the tail lights, that share the same bulb as the brake lights, the remote starter will not work due to it seeing the brakes active.

Sounds like the brake switch is staying on. This will keep the remote start from working due to thinking the brake pedal is being epressed.
