2018 Ford ECOSPORT "Yellow Service Wrench on Dash Illuminated after takeover"

Question

Evo-all installed on a 2018 FORD Ecosport. Vehicle starts and runs. However after you press the push to start button during takeover, all the dash indicators illuminate like normal, all then go off except the Yellow Wrench. No codes are generated, the vehicle runs fine, but until you shut down and restart the vehicle, the indicator will stay illuminated. Ive worked with your tech support on the phone and they have no answer to this issue.

What type of code reader are you using? A generic over the shelf? The Ecosport is a CANBUS vehicle with many modules instead of one large BCM like older vehicles. You need a good scanner to read codes from individual modules to see the why the light is on. Look into Forscan.

I was using a Snap On Solus scanner to read the codes.

I have heard of this issue before.

 

It is being looked into but I have no ETA on when the resolution will be available.
