Hello im having trouble in the programming oh keys. I purchased used 2017 ford transit 150 cargo van and it only has one key . Do i need two keys to proram? i dony have the four pin transponder connector on my ignition cylinder only large 8 pin on the back. i dont belive the key is a transponder key. It just has fob on it for door locks. How would the unit be able to tell if you have two different keys without transponder around cylinder. I am stuck at programming at the two key part. Any info would be greatlet appreciated.

Thank you

If the vehicle is not equipped with a transponder, then yes you can program the module with just one key.

One thing to note, if your vehicle is NOT equipped with a factory transponder: the evo module takes its ground from there normally. So you would need to run your own ground wire to the module.

The programming will also be different than what is described in the installation guide, as the installation guide is for vehicle with a transponder.

You would program the module as follows:

1- Hold down the programming button while plugging in the data link connector.

2- Release the button when you see the BLUE led.

3- Plug in all remaning connectors.

4- Take your key and turn the ignition to the ON/RUN position. (the blue led should go out, then a moment or two later begin to flash rapidly)

5- Turn ignition OFF and remove key.

The module at this point is programmed and ready to test.
