Evo-all Yellow LED won't light during programming

Evo all Yellow LED won't turn on. I'm a 20 year Mazda tech, please stop telling me I'm not holding the key correctly

Dan, did you ever figure this out? I am having the same issue trying to install on my 2018 mazda6 and can find nothing on how to resolve this issue. Thanks!

Same here.  Have a 2018 Mazda 3 PTS and yellow is not coming on.  Tried batteries in batteries out.  Reset.  Nothing.

Try doing the programming without the battery in the key fobs.

Also you can just play with key placement infront of the pts button.

Also ensure the data wires are correct and have a solid connection.

Did it with no batteries installed. And i swear to god if one more person tells me I'm not holding the key correctly....

Do both keys start the vehicle when the batteries are removed?

 

Also do you get the same results if you try the programming with the batteries in the keys?

Verified connections already? Soldered or spliced?

Have you tried a different firmware version?

here are other possibilities aside from key placement...

 

- not original keys (keys added after delivery of the vehicle)

- all key slots are filled up

- a factory start is present

I work for Mazda, and this vehicle has been in my possesion since it came off the transport, so I know they are factory keys, and only two keys are programmed. And no factory remote start. Thank you very much for your help though. I appreciate something other than " you're holding the key wrong ".

take the batteries out of the remotes to ensure your in the sweet spot in front of the button.
