G37/Q60 did not start once recently, sometimes takes long time to initialize

I have a 2014 Q60 (G37 coupe) that I installed a Fortin EVO-ALL and NIST1 harness into. Using OEM fobs 3x to remote start. Has been installed for over a month. Install went well, but from beginning there was one persistent problem: when remote starting, 25% of time car remote starts right away as expected, 75% of the time seems to be delayed, vehicle lights come on, go off, come back on again and after 15 seconds or so the car would finally start. Seems to be a firmware issue, as others on the help forum have mentioned it is a common issue with no solution.

But, today the car failed to start. 42f/5c temperature outside, running lights and brake lights flashing strangely, did that twice and did NOT start. Car seemed to go dark, so I did 3x lock again and car did start.

Why does the car sometimes not start? I have lots of experience installing remote starters, and this one was the easiest, most well thought out system I have ever installed, there seems to be almost no room for install error with the NIST1 harness, so I can only surmise this is a firmware issue.

Please help solve the persistent starting delays and this new no start condition.

what is the 12 digit service number of the evo-all?

In the meantime, i would suggest turning on diesel mode, option D1.3.

Also, if there is any T-tap style connections, especially on the Push-to-Start signal, remove it, and do a direct wired connection.

I don't have the 12 digit number on hand, I'll need to unbury the EVO from my dash.

Today it failed to start again, so that is 3 separate attempts to remote start, 2 of which totally failed. This time I observed the parking lights flash 3 times rapidly after the remote start "gave up". This just happened today, I've never had a failure to start prior to this day. The wire to the PTS is stripped, twisted and soldered. The only 3M T-tap I used was on the parking light circuit.

What does the 3 rapid flashes of the parking lights indicate?

Can I pull fault codes from the EVO when I connect it to my PC? And, can the EVO still be connected to my car when I connect to the PC, or do I need to disconnect the EVO from the car?

Thanks for the help!
Eov needs to be disconnected from the car for connection to PC.

3 Flash on an EVO-ALL is no Tach. You are getting no tach because the car is not even cranking.

I wanted to suggest enabling Diesel Mode. Option D1.3. This would give time for the car to respond to the immobilizer if it's an immobilizer issue.
