Takeover on 2017 Civic PTS Manual with EVO-ONE, really?

1- I just saw that the takeover is now supported on 2017 Civic PTS with an EVO-ONE. Before modifying the wiring and updating the EVO-ONE firmware, I would like to make sure it really works as expected... Anybody tested it?

2- When I installed the EVO-ONE, I followed the guide #57791 (rev 20170425). What you happen if I update the EVO-ONE firmware as stated in the latest guide (#80011 rev 20180913) WITHOUT modifying the current wiring?

- Yes its been tested and works.

- Pretty simple...it wont work.
