which installation diagram do i need?

New here and am totally confuse.  I am helping a friend, he had a previous remote start in his 2014 ford f150 with key not push start that failed in some form. He returned it and was sent EVO-FORT1 as well as the flash link.  My question is which diagram do i need for correct installation?  And are all the wires that are provied with the kit needed for install?  I dont recall him metioning any of the extra wires that came with the kit.  Is the 34421.pdf the correct for our application?  Sorry for the noobish questions but i worked all night and my brain is just not functioning right now.  Thanks in advance for any help provided.

If the evo-fort-1 is the only thing being installed and will be used to start the car you would follow the "stand alone" guide ...the 34421 guide you mentioned would be the corect guide.

if you are using the OEM remote to start the car then evo-fort1 and flash link updater would be the only 2 parts you need.

In stand alone you would want the following options on:

A1-A11

C1

D1

All other options OFF.

Looking at your service number all looks ok except you never turned on D1.

Ok thank you so much, we will have to look at it tomorrow or the next day.  Without knowing which model he had before its hard for me to compare the two.  He said the old one was all plug and play throught the OBD2 port, and this one has wires that need to be wired in.  Im sure we will get it figured out. Just differnt than the model he had to return.  Thanks again.
I can email you a simplified version of the installation guide if you would like. Send an email to support@fortin.ca include your name and the make and model of the vehicle you will be working on.
We were able to get it in and working. I do have one question though. Is it required to splice the grey wires into the obd2 port?  I spoke with another fortin user who installed on his Ford edge and he did not have to splice them in. We did not try it without splicing them but was just wondering.  I assume different vehicles require different wiring.  Thanks for the replies.
Yes the grey can bus wires must be connected for it to work properly.
