2012 cruze with manual

0 votes
I have a Chevy cruze 2012 eco with manual trans.

I purchased Evo  all THAR Gm1 converted to v2, In the wire install it says to use 180ohm resistor in the clutch rehostat, Is this in series with the Yellow wire,? and will this affect the cruise contorl function or throw codes? The car does start with  the clutch pushed pushed in, and three locks on the remote.

The EVO ALL will not work in stand alone mode on any manual car. It only covers automatic vehicles.

Really..? This should be stated somewhere on the website or in the instructions....

Just bought the EVO ALL, flash link updater and the THAR Gm1V2 and I was currently trying to wire this all up... The programming worked fine, but can't start the car.

Is there a way I can remote start my Cruze ECO 2012 manual transmission?

Thats actually the only install guide that has no mention of it. All other StandAlone installation guides have a big yellow mention that it's for Automatic transmission only. Changes to this particular guide will be a short while, for now, if you use standalone, make sure you clients vehicle is autaomatic.
I was able to get it to work, I bypassed the clucth switch with a 3.3 K resistor and a 1.8 K resistor, on a three way toggle swicth which works flawless.

The reason why the EVO is not for manual vehicles is because there is no security! There is a special procedure required with remote starters that guarantees the vehicle will always be in neutral and with the handbrake engaged when activating the remote starter. If the vehicle is not in neutral and with the handbrake up, the vehicle would not start. Right now, you do not have that security and will end up damaging something or seriously hurting someone someday.

Meaning... There will be that one day, that you leave the vehicle in gear and the toggle switch on. Do you understand how dangerous that is? What if a mother with her child is walking in front of your car that very same day?

I highly recommend that you get a propper remote starter installed.

Save a life, don't be that guy.

Seriously..... Install a remote starter and be aware that if you leave your installation this way you might end up hurting someone! Stand alone is not meant for manual car applications, leaving it this way is negligence on your part. Let's all do our part to keep our loved ones safe around us.
