2015 ram eco diesel stand alone with fortin rf no start in cold morning

2015 eco diesel stand alone (evo chrt6)  with fortin rf (rf641w). problem is the truck will not start in cold mornings under remote start, dash lights come on but no start  ( it will start with key, holding crank for 3-5 sec) after the truck warms up the remote starter works fine all day . do not have service number yet ( waiting for customer to bring in his truck) any help would be appriciated

Answer 1

First, verify the complaint.

Second, verify installation ....as it gets colder resistance goes up!

Third, update module to newest firmware available reset and reprogram the module start to finish.

I have the exact same problem , first start in the morning does not work. Lights come on plus various other noises but no engine start. When I look at the dash I see the error code `Invalid FOB KEY`  (from memory might be slightly different)

It doesn`t have to be that cold.  I just find it weird that in only happens in the morning. Even when the truck ist out in -15 all day , I can start it no problem from the other end of my second story buiding!  I can`t remember when it didn`t start ok!  

At least you know what my error code is!

If a wire had a bad connection , d have to suspect the one going to the ignition switch!
