2016 Toyota Tundra (G-Key) Key-Sense Not Working....?

+1 vote
I have an Evo-All (EA) product connected to an Advanced Keys PTS & PKE system (AKS). The GWR from the AKS is connected to the blue GWR wire from the EA as directed to. Additionally, in order to get the EA unit to "act" appropriately, I have the unlock wire from the truck attached to the GWR wire as well. This makes everything work the way it should!

Now onto my actual question. Anytime I hook up the key-sense wire to the application, the truck ceases to either start and or immediately dies. Why is this? AKS says to use the GWR wire for the key-sense. There are other negative wires I can use from the AKS to simulate a GWR out to the EA. However the results are the same, the truck does not start and or dies immediately. I have also tried direct ground to the EA GWR wire with no luck! And as a last resort just to see if it was the wiring I installed, I hooked up the factory key sense connection it reacted the same way, died and or would not start.

I would like the key-sense to activate the automatic seat & steering wheel when I start the truck.

Can you please assist me?

Looking at the installation of the evo-all (http://fortin.ca/download/26731/evo-all_toyotatundrag1015_26731_d20151009.pdf ). In your truck we do not hook up to the key sense wire as it is not part of the installation.

This sounds like a AKS issue, as you mentioned you are using the AKS wires to hook up to a wire in the vehicle we do not use in the installation.  You may want to direct your question towards the AKS team.

As for why its shuttin down....could be a few reasons, might not detect the RF ID of the key when key sense is triggered therefore shutting down,  normally a key sense wire is triggered in an installation using Rx/Tx not when doing one with IMMO DATA. Here is an example guide of when a Key Sense wire is triggered in a toyota. (http://fortin.ca/download/22971/evo-one_ig_reg_bi_toy-old_key_1_b_22971.pdf).

Thank you.
