Ax-One / EVO One Lights issue on 2015 tundra

0 votes
hi there, i just had my evo one system installed today on my 2015 Tundra, the installer mentioned he had a hard time finding the parking lights or something along those lines, he said the guide was wrong ( i gave him both guide #18211 as well as the wiring diagram from wirecolor) i didnt really think anything of it because the remote start works but on my way home I realized something strange was occurring.

Sometimes the lights on my dash / guages goes out which made it impossible to see my speed at night, also once i enter the car and the lights turn on then go out but as soon as I shift from park to drive the interior lights come back on for about 10 seconds (really annoying). As far as my dash lights I can get it to come back on if I put the truck back in park then drive again, it resets it. Lastly, whenever my guages are out, Im also unable to activate my fog lights ? but again when I move the shifter to park and back to drive it resets everything and im able to get my fog lights back on. any ideas of what might cause this ?

Should bring your truck back to the installer and have him call tech support if he have questions. He definitly did something wrong, I don't see how he can have problem finding the parking light wire.

that diagram in the photo is incorrect according to the instructions for my truck Guide #18211, I believe he went off of that photo because I had brought in the guide from wirecolor and he couldnt verify that it was correct and not sure what he ended up tapping.

If you look at the evo one installation guide #18211 it shows that the auto light is green, but in the photograph at tab 130 it is shown as white and left of the wire which seems to be the right one.
The wire tagged 130 is something else and is not used in your application. The guide shows to cut the green wire (pin 2) and to connect another wire to the tan (pin 3).
So I realized that my lighting issues were related to programming issues. Before taking it back to the installer to get my wiring checked I decided to try and disable safetly locks based on a suspicion that this might have been causing the issue. I enabled 7.1 (safety locks off), I had it set previously to 7.2 (lock after foot brake & unlock after key is turned off) and whenever I would put my foot on the brake for the first time after turning on the car my interior lights would come on. Im hoping this fixed my issue with the guage lights as well, I havnt experienced it yet since disabling this feature.
It's been 2 years... did changing to 7.1 get rid of your problems?
