EVO-ONE Cannot enter function programming mode

Question

2015 Chevrolet Suburban (Push To Start)

- Bypass install OK

- Decryptor OK

- 3x lock with factory remote OK

 
Step 1, turn the ignition on, yellow light on EVO-ONE.  Step 2 -- hold valet switch until LED flashes.  This never happens.  The LED never comes on.  Valet switch tested fine with DMM.

 

UPDATE:  I can enter function programming mode, if done so quickly (within ~10 seconds) of engine ignition.  But if I let the vehicle idle for 30 seconds first, I cannot enter function programming mode, no matter how long I hold down the valet button.

It is a normal situation you can only enter programming for a couple second after ignition is turned on.

if you want to set options when using 3x lock start from the oem remote, use the flash-link manager. the regular option setting will not work off the oem remote.

Thanks Robert -- yes, I'm using Flashlink for everything.  But I was trying to program some RF kit remotes so that's why I needed to access the function programming through the car.

that makes sense. Like  Mathieu said, don't wait. The module will time out thinking you are not going into programming mode and that your just starting the car.
