i got this unit off amazon, and was told it was all just plug and play if I wanted to use stand alone remote starter with factory fobs. I installed it today went through programming and after the first programming steps for the bypass it was solid yellow. Did this unit need a flash to even work or did i miss something in the installation. evo all with fort1 harness

2010 ford fusion. I have not flashed any firmware to the device, the place i purchased it from asked for my year make a model so i assumed it was already flashed. But after i performed the first set of programming functions for the data portion the evo all lights up solid yellow.
I rarely see preprogrammed units from amazon pre set up. The service number will answer everything

im totally new to all this type of stuff, im used to old style splice in 30 diff wires for a remote start, but thought this would be a simple fix using a t harness with a bypass like so.

also does this unit also allow me to used facotry remote press locl 3x to remote start, some pages said yes some no...confused

2010 fusion is listed as 3x lock compatible. the options for 3xlock are currently not set in your EVO (options tab was never even opened) : https://fortin.ca/en/support/001a06434484/

So I just need to get a flash link and enable stand alone remote starter and everything should go as it should?
Correct, options D1 and C1.
