Cannot get manual transmission ready mode to activate at all

0 votes
I've set up the Fortin evo one to work with my car, everything works as it should except for the manual transmission ready mode, I have it on 33.2 and whenever I push in the brake, lift the e brake and then let off the brake, I don't get any feedback at all from the car. The car is a 2020 wrx sti with push to start, t harness was used to install

I just did the same car installation today and everything worked fine.

Did you cut the yellow loop wire?

I have not cut the wire, confusing thing is, i installed this perfectly fine about 6 months ago, and is worked perfectly. broke that one, so i just ordered a new one, installed it, got my rf kit and all to work, but im getting no feedback from the manual transmission ready mode. last time i had it set on 33.2, and whenever i pulled the handbrake up and let off the brake the lights would flash twice and i would get out and be done. but now, no feedback whatsoever.
Hey Cole,

Quick question for you, It'll be very helpful. I'm installing one in my Impreza too. So, when I exit the vehicle, engine keeps running and it turns off when the door is shut. And the car locks itself.

I find it weird having the key turned back to off and engine is still running.

Just wanted to know if it does the same for you. If that's the case, does it locks too?

What happens of the car is in gear?

Thank you in advance.
Yeah that is normal, mine being a push to start is a little different. But it's the same idea either way. When you park with your foot on the brake pedal, you pull up the e brake and then let off the brake, the car will then flick the hazards twice to let you know that the process was done correctly. Once that is done, you can then take the key out, leave the car and close the door, the car will automatically shut off and lock all the doors for you. And you're good to go. The car wouldn't flick the hazards twice if the car was in gear, that way it knows its not in gear when it's remote started.

Sorry if this whole thing was worded horribly, just got off of work and saw the email and wanted to help as best I could haha
Thank you soo much for getting back. I was fighting with this thing all day figuring it out. Glad you wrote me back now I can sleep in peace. Thanks alot and have good one.

I'll be back here again if I run into any other problem, but hope not. LOL

Thanks again!

The TEST-ONE will make troubleshooting this vehicle easier, it will show all available inputs that come in through the canbus wires (tach, handbrake, doors, brake, etc...)

Without a test-one, one input at time will need to turned off on the bypass options table and hardwired to test which input is causing the issue.

That being said, since this is a manual transmission vehicle, a professional shop/installer shoucl be consulted to verify functionality of the system to prevent errors that may cause the vehicle to start in gear.
