Rear defroster for Honda HR-V 2021

I have a 2021 Honda HR-V LX AWD. Currently it being controlled by the Evo One with the cellular add-on. Can the rear defroster be turned on through the can bus, or do I have to hook up a wire from the Evo One to the defroster wire?

You would have to hardwire the rear defrost.

 

The aux output on the evo-one is the yellow/black wire on the 20 pin connector.
