2015 toyota sienna h-key

Installed but will not remote start. Doesnt attempt to crank. Is not in valet mode. Yellow loop is cut. Wiring and programing look to be correct. Have both lock and unlock signals on evo when button is pressed on remote as well. What am i missing? According to the install guide 3x lock should work...

No it does not. Forgot to add this is a tee harness installation

Did you connect ground ?

When pressing 3x lock, the red led on the side of the module right under the yellow loop should flash a certain amount of times. How many flash you see ?

Yes to a factory ground. The hood pin switch is also grounded to eliminate that.  I’ll have to look at that led and get back to you. You can hear the relays inside the box click just no output to the vehicle to crank it.

I have a video of it. Hard to get an accurate count but appears to be 5?. You have to hit lock way more than 3x for it to do anything.

You hood pin is grounded. It should not be. Ground = hood open therefore remote starter will not remote start

 

Also, Lock press every second. or set Lock-Unlock-Lock instead of 3x Lock. (option 38.5)

Factory hood pins are normally ground when closed. Aftermarket is the opposite. :D
