Cadenza remote start

+1 vote

Hi , I installed evo one in kia cadenza 2015 puch to start.  I think I wired it correctly as shown in 17011 guide .

I programmed the unit with success following the instructions. I received correct feedback from the unit. I also tested some other things like turning on the ignition and have a yellow light. I also receive a blue light whenener I push the lock button on the fob

I cut the yellow loop wire for automatic mode.

I also added  FTX44 2W and it locks ,unlocks and trunk release.

..............

But there is NOOOOO remote start  sad

When I click 3x OEM lock....... Nothing happens..... Only lock the car as normal.

When I click FTX44 start button..... It unlock then lock the car.

My service number is  002B03046280

Pleeeeeeeease help

Note : your latest guide 17011 is for 2014 cadenza but mine is 2015 .

Took a look at the service number everything seems correct.

Does the vehicle crank? If not then you have an issue with your start and ignition connections. This vehicle should at least crank seeing as we power the starter and ignition wires.

I would start by taking a look at those connections and test them.

Also have cut the yellow loop on the module? Are you getting any parking light flashes telling you why it isnt starting?

It doesn't crank.

The evo one flash with red led while click the remote start button then with blue led then just unlock lock the doors with 3 car warning yellow flashes.

I think I wired it correctly but how to test the start and ignition wires?
start will only show 12 volts when cranking.

Ignition 1 and 2 will show 12 volts ignition on and during crank and should not drop out at any time.

I could find out the start wire. It is pink black as shown in 17011 guide. But you put the sign on pink one in your wirecolor picture. I hope you correct it.

Although I find out the start and connected it with yellow wire as shown in your guide and reprogrammed the unit, I can't start it.

Everything is working except start. It only unlock and relock the car.

Any suggestions?

And what is the difference between ignition 1 and 2? Maybe they also have a wrong connection.

Sorry for my poor English

And thanks for helping me

Did you test these wires that youve connected to?

Also did you test and see if the evo is putting out voltage on the start and ignition wires? ignition 1 is pink on evo 6 pin, ignition 2 is white on 6 pin.

I would go by pin loction and not color. follow the pin out in the guide as it is correct.

Also is it possible the remote starter is in valet mode? I would try cycling it in and out of valet mode.
I tested it now from  evo 6 pin side

pink and white wires give me  12v while ignition on and car start. It gives zero while car is off

The yellow one gave me 12v just for a second while starting only

I also Went on and out valit mode nothing happened.

Are you sure of your ignition wires guide? From the car side there are other three wires in same harness give me 12v while ignition on.
Sorry again for my poor English

I mean that the evo yellow wire when connected to pink black it gives 12v only while cranking.

So we already located the start wire successfully...

How to locate the correct ignition wires???? There are 5 wires give 12v while ignition on in the same car harness. How to choose the correct 2 ignition wires?
blue and red in the connector in the picture are ignition 1 and 2. The large gauge blue is ignition 1 and the large gauge red is ignition 2
Yea blue and red is the ignition 1 and 2 in the picture.

And I already connected it.

It may be not correct as the start wire pink in the picture but the pink black is the correct one.

So how to locate the correct ignition wires?
they are the correct wires thats for sure.

If you still cant get the vehicle to start i would then suggest performing a master reset of both the bypass and remote starter and re programming the modle from that point.
Pink black show 12v while cranking only.

How to do master reset for both Bypass and remote starter?

To reset bypass:

  1. Hold down programming button while plugging in datalink connector.
  2. Let go of button when LED is RED.
  3. Push and hold button again until all three LEDs start to alternate.
  4. Disconnect unit, she is now reset.

To reset remote starter:

Dont forget once these are done you will have to re program the module and re enable any specific options you have set within the module as well as re program your RF kit.

I would also suggest re flashing the remote starter with the latest firmware possible.

Also make sure that the yellow (A1) is connected to the pink ignition wire of the module.

I did master reset for both bypass and remote start . then connected it to flash manager . finally I reprogramed the module and FTX44 .

unfortunatly , nothing changed .

every thing is working except remote starting . it only unlock relock the car .

any suggestions ????sad

When you are trying to remote start the vehicle what are the led's on the module doing?

What is the car doing? Does the ignition turn on?

Also you could try flashing the minimum firmware as stated in the guide...76.22

Hi . the the remote start never turned the ignition on . It do nothing or just unlock then lock the car .

I uploaded a video for you to see the module and the car in same time

watch it plz

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PP6Nyi-71r0&feature=youtu.be

Dear my friend

iam ask if you solve the problem , i have same problem and i can't solve

with best regard
You are using an evo-all, the original post was with an evo-one, the symptoms will not be the same for the 2 units. we have replied to your inquiry by email Mr. Sabah.

Looking at the video, the parking lights (and red led on the back of the evo-one) flash 5 times whenever you try to remote start. This means the remote starter sees a open hood (even though it's closed); remote starters will not allow you to remote start when it detects a open hood.

three possible solutions:

1- Open and close the hood

2- Turn option A11 - Hood Status  in the bypass options.

3- Make sure nothing is connected to the Pink/Black wire from the EVO-ONE 20-pin connector. If this wire is grounded, the vehicle will not remote start and the lights will flash 5 times.

edit: nevermind, not the same vehicle/client

hi Robert

when i try started , the red led flashing and stop and no thing happens

so the hood is close

thank you

iam looking our replay soon
how many times does the red led flash?
how many times does the RED led flash on the EVO?

how many times do the parking lights flash when the remote starter does not work?

We ask for light flashing because every remote starter has shut down or failed start diagnostics by flashing the lights X-amount of times. Example is in the video, his lights were flashing 5 times.
iam not sure how much the red led is flashing , what is mean the no. off flashing the red led

so , in this video what is the problem .

thanks again

looking replay

In the video look at how many times the Parking lights flash, and also how many ttimes the RED LED flashes on the back of the EVO-ONE. It flashes 5 times.

5 flashes is a diagnostic that indicates the module detects the Hood Open (even though you can clearly see in the video that the hood is closed).

This is a picture of the diagnostics for the EVO-ONE. Please do not confuse them with the diagnostics I just sent you by email for the Crimestopper.

Turn ignition on, open hood, close hood, turn ignition off.

After try again, I've seen this on kia vehicle especially if the hood was opened when you programmed the module.
thank you my friend

exactly , as your note iam solve the problem by reset the evo  and reprogramming when hood is close .

i have inquiri about the evo - all  can we get to the - volt  from 20 pin connector when lock by the factory remot , becuase the when lock and unlock bt the OEM remote control the blue led is flashing

i suggest if we get the line of lock and unlock to conect the center lock directly

You mean that when you press the OEM remote lock and unlock, the blue LED flashes and you would like to use two of the wires from teh 20-pin connector to output the signal?

This is something we can definitly  improve on in the future.
