2015 explorer starts when evo box plugged in

0 votes
I unplugged the box to change some features and was having some other issues. So I did a reset on the box by holding the program button until red and releasing and then pressing again till LEDs flashed and then turned the remote start back on. Now when I go to plug in the red plug it turns the ign on and if the key is in the ign it will start the car, and the only way to turn it off is to unplug the evo box. But if I plug the red one in first then the four pin data link nothing works(no LEDs when you hit the lock/unlock button).

If you reset the module you will now have to re program it start to finish.

Also a reset wipes out your options so re enable C1 and D1 as well.

I redid the stuff with the flash link and it still did the the same thing I think it's the way I have the marker lights hooked up
Did you re program the module start to finish?

Did the module program as specified in the guide?
I can't program the key because when I plug in the red plug it turns on the ignition and try's to start the car
re program it exactly as it states in the guide, but leave the RED connector unpluged while programming. Once you have completed the programming start to finish then plug the RED connector back in.  It will still program without it.  Let me know if that works for you.
what exactly do you mean by the way you hooked up your parking lights?
it may be on a positive(+) and not a negitive(-)
did you use a relay as shown in the guide?

Or did you connect the NEGATIVE parking light wire direct to the Positive parking light wire?

Thank you
I hooked it to the positive side of the vehicle.
I reprogrammed the box with the red plug not hooked up and unhooking the marker lights. And the blue light lite up when you pressed the lock and unlock buttons. If you hit the lock button 3 times the red light came on then the amber like it was starting the vehicle and you could hit the lock button 3 more times and the Amber light turned off. I am assuming that is how it normally works. But if I plug the red plug in the ignition turns on and the screen say system start fault and I be be leave the Amber light turns on on the box and that's without touching anything only plugging in the red plug. If you try to hit the lock or unlock button it does nothing. The only way to get it to turn off is to unplug the red plug.
I know this is an old post but im having the same problem with a 2011 ford explorer did you ever fix this issue?
This will happen if you make a wrong connection or the module is not properly programmed. What are all the connections made in the vehicle? Has the module programmed exactly as described in the guide? What is the service number to the module?
