Gmt3 on Silverado not starting every time does it need a constant 12v connection?

The unit is not properly grounded. Run a new ground wire directly to the black wire of the 4-pin datalink connector.

Also, when doing Lock-Lock-Lock, the blue led on the EVO will flash on every lock. Do not press the lock button too fast as it may not respond.
