2015 Dodge Journey interior light staying on

0 votes
Hello, Installed a Autostart as-1780 with Evo-chrt6 into a 2015 dodge journey PTS.  Loaded latest reccomended firmware 74.19.  Installation and programming seemed to be textbook. Followed the troubleshooting steps, I am wired D2D and have the tach and footbrake W2W between the remote start and evo, as well as 12v and ground to the remote starter.  The door locks seem to operate normally with remote start.  The lights on the evo are red and yellow solid while starting. As long as the EVO-ALL is plugged in to D2D cable the interior lights stay on and the warning icon is on instrument cluster indicating a door ajar..  If I disconnect the RAP door trigger wire(pink/black) from the purple(ground while door open) the interior lights go out as normal. Tried the green wire on evo instead of pink/black, made no difference.  Both wires from Evo show ground while vehicle is shut off until basically the battery dies.

Not sure if this will help but.... I've seen a few dodges need a straight ground signal on the door trigger. Setting up a relay to trigger a ground on the vehicle door trigger wire fixs that. So, if you use the Pink/Black of the EVO to trigger a relay that will give the door trigger wire a straight ground signal, this should fix those lights staying on.

You can replicate the above by simply grounding the cars door trigger wire after it was shut down from remote start just to see if the lights turn off. If they do, wire up a relay.

Thanks for the reply .Robert, I have tried applying direct ground to this wire but even when unhooked from the vehicle, the pink/black wire from the Evo-all shows direct ground.  This grounds the door trigger circuit, illuminates the door ajar icon, and keeps the interior light on duplicating what would happen if the door were open.
Used the Disarm wire from remote start with diode, instead of pink/black from Evo-all. Interior light goes out, radio and dash shut down, drivers door trigger must go through the can bus I figure - open the door and it shuts off. Seems to work normally now.
so the pink-black wire of the EVO is sending a constant negative? not a pulse?

Door status detection is indeed done through can-bus. The pink-black wire is programmed to pulse ground on remote start shut down on a few vehicles that require simulating "door open" to shut down RAP and autolights etc... We can detect through can-bus but not "write" to it.
Yes, the pink/black wire on the Evo-all was sending a pure 100% ground causing the door ajar indicator and interior light to stay on. I could not get it to pulse, stayed constant, even when cut from the RAP/door trigger wire on vehicle.
MY 2011 DODGE JOURNEY DID THIS ONCE AND HASNT DONE IT SINCE..

I ALSO HAVE THE AS-1780 AUTOSTART INSTALLED.

MY JOURNEY THE INTERIOR LIGHTS WOULD STAY ON AND ALSO PULSE..

IT WAS RAINING THE DAY IT DID THIS (NOT SURE IF RELEVANT?)

THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR SHOWED THAT IT WAS AJAR ALSO EVEN THOUGH THE DOOR WAS CLOSED!

I COULDNT USE THE DOORLOCKS..  BUT IF I TURNED THE INTERIOR LIGHTS OFF ON THE DASH I COULD THEN USE THE DOORLOCKS.

ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIAITED
