Lock on remote starter only works when vehicle is running

Question

Installed Austostart 2481-TWS with EVO-ALL in 2012 Ford Focus Platinum Push To Start.  Everything seemed to program fine and vehicle starts great.  Unlock and trunk release work as expected, Lock on Remote start fob will only lock the doors when car is running. Park lamps on car will flash but will not lock the doors. Vehicle can also be remote started with doors or hood open.  V 71.30 is currently loaded into unit.  Thanks, mike.

Looking at the service number provided this module has firmware 4.18 on it, not 71.30. I would suggest re flashing the module to the latest firmware to start. Once it is done flashing unplug the module and plug it back in to confirm the firmware has infact updated. This while however require you to reprogram the module to the vehicle.

With that service number you provided, it shows that your module is still at 4.18 and has not been updated to the latest firmware yet, please see here :http://ca.fortin.ca/en/support/001a06510990/

Please update to the latest firmware and reprogram in vehicle, since we control the lock via can-bus, the firmware is very important.

 

Also, how are you connected between your remote starter and evo-all? Wire to wire or datalink?

Hello, I typed the wrong service number into my question, the vehicle has since been picked up by the customer and I will not have the correct service number until it returns.. I had loaded firmware V 71.30 and set the bypass option as "D2D" and left the autostart default on "Xpresskit D2D", also using red "xpresskit" port on autostart to connect to EVO-ALL.

Something tells me it didnt actually program the Can-Bus if no statuses are working. Unless it's a datalink issue. You will be able to test it with the analog outputs on the 20-pin connector of the EVO.
