Programming EVO-ONE for 2012 Toyota Rav4, Won't recognize key

0 votes
I'm installing an EVO-ONE with the THAR-TOY1 T-Harness into a 2012 Toyota Rav4 and I believe I have followed the wiring diagram to set it up correctly. When I go to do the key bypass programming, I get to the step when I put my key in and turn the ignition to ON. Instead of the blue AND red light flashing, ONLY the red light flashes rapidly and doesn't stop. PLEASE HELP!

http://fortin.ca/download/23001/evo-one_toyota-xb-corolla-matrix-rav4_a2014070927.pdf, if this is the guide you used, according to your service number you are not running the correct firmware in the evo.

1.16 is the remote starter side. The guide shows the Bypass side version to flash.

There'a trick to the EVO-ONE service number. The deafult number gives you the status of the remote starter, changing 1 number in there will show you the bypass status.

The second digit after the letter B, is the hardware. The one we right on the sticker always refers to the remote starter hardware. But since the unit is literally two parts in one, the bypass side has a different hardware version.

so.. since all EVO-ONE currently have a hardware 2 bypass (evo-all), you can change the service number to 002B02027123 .

  • 002B03027123 = remote starter
  • 002B02027123 = bypass

Before turning the key to ON, did you push the programming button twice ? After the second push, the red led should flash 1 time every second.

If you did all that, I recommend you verify your canbus connection.
