Solid red/orange light when programming and unresponsive unit.

0 votes
I got the Evo-One. I installed initially with guide 19471 and programmed bypass successfully I believed. But I could not get remote start to work with the OEM remote. I reinstalled using guide 19481. Figured out I have to use RF kit with my car. Now, when I do the bypass programming, the red and orange light comes on and stays on. Unit does not appear to respond to valet switch whenI try to program fobs from my FirsTech RF Kit. I am sure all my connections are good. I soldered them in. I am lost now. What am I missing? First installed was flashed with 79.24 like the guide said. Second install I reverted to 79.18 like guide said. BTW. I have a 2012 Toyota FJ Cruiser.

Use 79.24

Enable option 38.2 in the remote start options, not 38.4.

Master reset the bypass

  1. Hold down programming button while plugging in the datalink connector.
  2. Let go of button when LED is RED.
  3. Push and hold button again until all three LEDs start to alternate.
  4. Disconnect unit, she is now reset.

Reprogram the bypass portion then enable option C1 in the bypass options. Only turn on C1 do not turn off anything that is already on.

When pressing the TOGGLE button to switch between remote starter and bypass mode in the flash-link, make sure the EVO-ONE is disconnected.
