23 tundra wire cut question

Question

I have 23 tundra. do i realy have to cut the pink and splice the purple wires on 64 pin connector??  Is it so i can use oem remote while remote start is active and if thats the case can i just use the fortin add on remotes so i dont have to cut wires i dont mind having to have 2 key fobs if it means not having to cut factory wires ive had 2 key fobs since my first remote start years ago  so it doesnt bother me.

Hello,

If you are referring to the IMI connection (page 4 in the guide linked below), yes you must cut the wire, it is not optional. It is not related to the oem remote either.
