Audi 2013 S4 DSG - Fortin ALL getting stuck on step 7 with 3 x red flashing lights

Question

Just installed a Fortin ALL with the Audi T Harness on a 2013 Audi S4 DSG. UK right hand drive car.

When I go to try and get the unit to read the key data I am just getting 3 red light flashes on step 7, everything is fine up until that point and the car operates as normal.

When I then put the flashlink back onto the PC software it says invalid key data. Any ideas? I have checked all wiring, also checked status of CANBUS with zero issues showing so I know that wiring is good.

Hello,

3 red flash = Vehicle Unkown. The evo is not able to ID the vehicle.

It is flashed correctly from what I see.

I would try unplugging and re plugging the key port connector perhaps.

 

If it persists you may have to follow the key sacrifice installation method.

Okay, what could the reason behind it not recognising the vehicle? could there be a difference between UK and North America cars?

Anything I can check? My wiring looks okay and tests okay, would it even get that far with wiring issues?

I tried disconnecting and reconnecting the key port.

You can check to see if there are any codes in the comfort module, I have seen that stop the module from programming properly before.

Often times yes there are differences between UK and NA vehicles.
