05 Grand Cherokee Red Lights After Programming

0 votes
Installing evo all as a standalone to be able to start vehicle with three clicks of factory lock button. I got it installed and programmed once, but when I started it with the doors shut the alarm went off. I took it out and hooked it to the flashlink to change the unlock before start option. Reinstalled and nothing worked so I tried to program it again and when I hit the lock button during the flashing blue lights, the lights go out momentarily then all red lights come on and stay on. I can still start the vehicle with the key but the locks on the remote won't work unless I unplug the evo. Tried to hook it back up to the flashlink but now most of the options are greyed out and not selectable.

Master reset the unit using the procedure listed here : http://fortin.ca/en/qa/50193/faq-how-do-i-reset-my-evo-all

After the reset, you will need to reprogram the unit to the vehicle. Once that is done, go enable option D1, C1 and D2 in the flash link. This guide is step by step explanation : EVO-ALL & Remotes

When in the Flash-Link Manager program, make sure it says Connection Mode : Bypass on the bottom right corner of the screen. If it says Connection Mode : Remote Starter, hit the toggle button to swap over to bypass mode. EVO-ALL needs to be disconnected when Toggling between both modes.

After master reset I tried programming the unit to the vehicle. On the last step (Push lock button on the remote) a solid red light comes on and stays on. (last light on the end closest to the middle of the unit) Also, when I connect the unit to the flashlink updater the D1 options are still greyed out and not selectable.

After resetting the Evo-All, unplug then re-plug the flashlink cable to the Evo-All and select the Evo-All OPTIONS Tab, before changing anything, look at the whole options list:

After a proper reset, the only options that should be in turned on (GREEN TAB ON) are options A1 all the way to A11, everything else should be OFF (RED TAB ON).

If your Evo-All does not look like the way it is described above, then the Flashlink-2 adaptor may be stuck in connection mode:remote starter. Unplug Evo-All from Flashlink, click on TOGGLE button quickly mutliple times,(you should hear a clicking relay sound from the flashlink) Select connection mode:bypass.

Do Master Reset again, then connect to flashlink updater and select options A1-A11, C1, D1, D2 ONLY, everything else should be OFF.

Try this and let us know what happens.

p.s. last question has the vehicle remote started already at least once?
