Not passing program phase

Question

2018 Vw Golf and evo-all with thar-vw6 connector.

Flashed unit and manage to get through all programming until the end where i should see the red and yellow slowly alternate. mine always flases red 5 times. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

5 red flashes means you have put the cluster into protection mode.

 

To exit protection mode you must put the ignition to the ON position for 15 minutes.

 

After 15 minutes turn the vehicle off and re attempt programming.
