why don't the leds light up

When I plug in the evo to the black 4 pin connector as instructed no LEDs light up at all.

If the module is fully programmed no leds will turn on when connecting power.

 

the red and black wires on the black 4 pin connector are what power the unit, testing those would be a simple starting point.

 

If you are trying to program the unit, be sure to hold down the programming button prior to connecting the power.

 

Also a module with no firmware inside it may not light up. I would try re flashing the unit.
