Valet switch

Question

I have a quick question. I have the remote starter all hooked up and working.  I need to hook up the valet switch but wasn't sure if I have it correctly.  Do I hook the valet wire from the unit to the switch and add another wire to the switch to somewhere on the vehicle.

I have the EVO-RS - I purchased the EVO-CHRT5 but what was delivered was EVO-RS.

The box has:

Preloaded

All-In-One Universal

Data Bypass and

Interface Module

The dark.blue (hood/valet) wire works as follows:

- When grounded the vehicle will not remote start

- When not grounded the vehicle will remote start

 

So wire in the switch accordinly.

So if i understand this correctly i will need to supply my own wire from the valet switch to the hood switch then ground it at the valet switch?

You can wire it how ever you like, as long as the above criteria is met.
